The NSTF Science Expo, a fun packed science showcase targeted towards students, will transform the Institute of Applied Science at Mcast, Paola, into a hub of student activity and interactive scientific fun.

In collaboration with a number of exhibitors and foreign communicators, the expo will feature several fun and interactive sessions.

Visitors will have the opportunity to attend the session on ‘Discovering Sharks’ by Sharklab which will explore these remarkable creatures whilst the Armed Forces of Malta will be demonstrating the Science behind the equipment of the AFM.

Klaus Conrad from HeadStart Technology and Reuben Ferrante from EERoots will explore coding with Minecraft, Robots and Electronics whilst Anna Christodoulou from the National Technical University of Athens will explain mathematics in relation to storytelling.

There will also be a hands-on activity by Salome Matos from the University of Edinburgh on astronomy bringing together creativity, art and science as well as a fun workshop by Anne Kerkoven where children can choose a planet and draw an alien they think will live there. Kerkoven will also be running an entertaining workshop aimed at increasing children's scientific literacy.


The general public is invited to attend the open weekend taking place on Saturday, 12th from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday, 13th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
