A 37-year-old woman from St Paul's Bay died after her car was involved in a  head-on crash with a truck in Salina on Wednesday afternoon.

The accident happened close to the junction leading to T'Alla w'Ommu Hill at about 2.40pm.

Once again, a life was lost on our roads. It is quite apparent that something is wrong with our drivers. It seems to me who has been driving for fifty years on our roads that for some years now, drivers lack the most elementary notions of prudence and common courtsey towards other road users. A case in point is the habit of not giving way to cars trying move from side streets into the main thoroughfare or giving precedence to vehicles coming uphill.
