Health Department to recruit more nurses

THE Health Department is to recruit another 140 nurses in addition to the call for 20 new experienced staff nurses made just a few months ago.

That's good however the subcontracting care workers are still working with a pay of 4.06 an hour, and very bad conditions. It seems a lot of talk before the election and still a lot of talk on the news but no action.

It is very good that the Government will recruit 140 more nurses. The nurses in Mater Dei do their utmost to see the patient Happy. But they are short staffed. They cannot do their job as they wish.
