Leo Brincat, Minister for Sustainable Development, the Environment and Climate Change met Minister for Environment of Lithuania Valentinas Mazuronis at the Informal Meeting of Ministers for Environment in Lithuania.

Minister Brincat said that as a clear demonstration of the commitment of Malta for biodiversity, the Government needs to encourage private investment both for Natura 2000 sites, as well as infrastructure in what is called the 'green'.

The Minister said that the Maltese Government supports the proposal to facilitate similar projects to enhance discussions between the European Commission and the European Investment Bank to be stopped watching so called A Natural Capital Finance Facility.
