48 year old Stephen Galli from Sliema was charged with stealing €3,000 worth of silver objects last Tuesday from Preluna Hotel that were going to be put on show.= in the same hotel. He pleaded not guilty.

The police told the court that Galli stole the silver items that were in a bag and took them to his house in St Gregory Street, Sliema. He was also charged with breaking bail conditions and becoming a recidivist.

Some of the stolen items have been found and given back to their owner but a substantial amount of them have not been recovered. The court refused to grant bail to Galli.
