The most excisting part of the electoral process, that of sorting according to the no 1 preferences on ballots, has started as scheduled at 11am at the Naxxar counting Hall.

Political parties are taking samples of ballots to make their initial projections.

These are expected to indicate who has won the election within the hour if the gap between the two main parties is significant. Should the margin be smaller, more sampling would be needed to form a solid indication.
