An Italian worker residing in Zurrieq has been hospitalised after being injured at ST Microelectronics in Kirkop.
The incident happened at about 11.00h when the man was struck by a falling object, reportedly a beam.
He was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital.
His condition is not yet known.
