Malta Govt stocks issue: Prices of fixed rate MGSS

Further to Press Release No. 2290 issued on Friday 19th October 2012, the Accountant General notifies that the price for each Stock offered for subscription by members of the public has been established as follows:

(i)      3.75% Malta Government Stock 2017 (IV) Fungibility Issue at €105.00 with a YTM of 2.633%, which corresponds to an annualised rate of 2.651%;

(ii)     4.3% Malta Government Stock 2022 (II) Fungibility Issue at €102.50 with a YTM of 3.982% which corresponds to an annualised rate of 4.022%; and

(iii)    4.8% Malta Government Stock 2028 (I) at €100.75 with a YTM of 4.732%, which corresponds to an annualised rate of 4.788%.

Applications open on Monday 29th October, 2012 at 8.30 a.m. and close on the time and dates as hereunder, or earlier at the discretion of the Accountant General:

(a)                at 5.00 p.m. on Wednesday 31st October, 2012 for applications by any single and/or joint applications which in the aggregate do not exceed €100,000 per person; and

(b)        at noon on Friday 2nd November, 2012 for applications in the form of sealed bids (auction). The allotment results of each stock to applicants whose applications are in the form of sealed bids (auction) will be determined and announced within two hours immediately after the closing time of applications by auction.

Application forms may be obtained from and lodged at, all members of the Malta Stock Exchange and other authorised Investment Service Providers.  Application forms may also be downloaded from the Treasury website.
