Ryanair, Europe’s only ultra-low cost airline, today (9 Oct) welcomed its 3mth passenger to/from Malta and presented passengers, Arthur Penhaligon and Andrea Erasmus, from South Africa, with a family travel voucher (for two adults and two children) to fly on Ryanair’s popular Malta route to London Stansted.

Since Ryanair first arrived in Malta in October 2006, it has grown to operate 27 routes, opening a base in May 2010 and carrying 3m passengers and high-spending visitors to/from Malta. Ryanair will carry 870,000 passengers to/from Malta in 2012, sustaining over 870 “on-site” jobs at Malta Airport.

To celebrate carrying 3m passengers to/from Malta, Ryanair is launching a seat sale with thousands of seats at prices starting from just €12 for travel across Europe on Mon, Tues, Wed and Thur in November, which are available for booking until midnight Thur (11 Oct).

Ryanair’s Luis Fernandez- Mellado said: "In just 7 years, Ryanair has carried 3m passengers to/ from Malta, with visitors saving over €69.6m p.a. by switching to Ryanair’s low fares over Air Malta’s high fare flights. Ryanair will carry over 870.000 passenger at Malta this year, sustaining 850 jobs and underlining Ryanair’s commitment to, and investment, in Malta.

Ryanair beats every other airline with our guaranteed lowest fares, no fuel surcharges and the most on-time flights and to celebrate our 3m passengers, we are launching a seat sale with thousands of seats on sale at prices starting from just €12 for travel across Europe on Mon, Tues, Wed and Thur in November, which are available for booking until midnight Thur (11 Oct).”
