Arriva noted in a statement that the special service run in Gozo for the Nadur Carnival last week was successful, with thousands of people opting to leave their cars at home and use the buses to and from Nadur.
“We are immensely pleased that once again – following the successes of our previous special services during such occasions as the Notte Bianca and New Year’s Eve in Valletta, last year – people have elected to use our buses, and have renewed their trust in us enabling them to enjoy the Carnival festivities in Nadur without the stress and hassle associated with parking,” said a spokesperson for the bus operator".
The Nadur Carnival Service saw Arriva bus running on special trips linking various localities to Nadur, among them Mgarr Harbour. These special services complimented the regular bus links in Gozo that link not only the harbour but indeed various localities in Gozo, thus providing a service that was not available before.
“Arriva would like to thank our regular clients who once more confirmed their trust and loyalty towards our services, as well as those who tried our services for the first time for the Gozo Carnival. A special word of thanks goes to our teams in Malta and particularly in Gozo, without whose efforts not only the special carnival service but indeed our regular operations in Gozo would not be possible,” Arriva spokesperson said.
