The Italian television production company Leader Films, produced a six-feature film series entitled "Sei Passi Nel Giallo", shot entirely on location in the Maltese islands, following assistance provided by the Malta Tourism Authority between 2010 and 2011.

Leader Films, in association with Mediaset and Dolphin Entertainment, entered into a distribution agreement with Sony Pictures Studios to co-produce the series, which six thrillers, of 100 minutes length each, are to start airing this week on Canale 5, as of Wednesday the 22nd of February at approximately 21:15hrs.  The first espisode to air this week, "Presagi", will be followed by the other films in the series over the next 5 consecutive weeks.

Besides being filmed in Malta, the episodes’ scripts are also Malta-based, thus ensuring that the country will get a vast exposure in all six films; a factor which is given the utmost priority by the MTA when considering assistance for similar projects.  The films feature both exterior locations as well as the interiors of a number of prestigious houses and buildings in Malta.

The Sei Passi Nel Giallo series features a cast of prominent Italian and international actors and actresses including Kevin Sorbo, Andrea Osvart, Rob Estes, Clayton Norcross, Jane Alexander, Daniele Pecci, Paolo Seganti amongst others, as well as a host of Maltese actors, including Edward Mercieca, Paul Portelli, Ninette Micallef and Isabelle Warrington.  The series is directed by popular director Lamberto Bava and his son Roy Bava.
