Amanda Knox has sold the rights for a planned memoir on her conviction and acquittal for the 2007 murder of flatmate Meredith Kercher to HarperCollins for around $4 million, the New York Times reported Thursday.
The tale of her four-year battle with Italian justice will be based on her daily prison diaries.
Knox and her Italian ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito were convicted of the murder in 2009 and acquitted last year after forensic evidence was dismissed as unsafe.
Prosecutors in Perugia have appealed the acquittal and Italy's highest court is expected to start reviewing the case later this year. photo: Knox after October 3 acquittal.
