The GUG expressed its satisfaction that the accommodation grant was received earlier than expected as this shows the commitment and priority that the Ministry is giving to the Gozitan students.

Furthermore the GUG welcomed the news of the international call that has been issued for a cruise liner terminal to be built on Gozo. The project which would allow cruise ships to anchor off Gozo has already attracted interest from 12 companies in Europe.

This response showed the island’s potential as a tourist destination is being recognized and indicates a positive outlook towards future career opportunities in this field.

The GUG looks forward to further news regarding these developments and hoped that the quality and sustainability of Gozo is kept on the forefront of each decision that is to follow
