Gonzi chasing Obama, Pope meetings

The Office of the Prime Minister is busily shuffling through its rolodex to get Lawrence Gonzi pictured shaking hands with as many leaders as possible.

Sources told Maltastar.com that the image of Lawrence Gonzi has been dented considerably over the past twelve months, culminating in him losing the seat after a vote of confidence defeat in parliament.

Lawrence Gonzi is set to meet US President Barack Obama and Pope Benedict XVI over the coming weeks in last minute photo opportunities as the electoral campaign is underway.

He is also set to visit a number of European capitals to meet leaders in a last ditch attempt to boost his image by associating himself with other European leaders.

Visiting the Pope and going to the US and other EU capitals???

And who is paying for this cheap marketing stunt??

But thus he really think that he is taking us for a ride? As from Monday (should have been the day after the downfall)any stunt should be paid for GONZIGATTPN and not us the taxpayers. I for one, am more happy to see my taxes going to help those families in need (although GonziGattPN tries to tell us other ways) and not seeing a caretaker flying and enjoying life on my taxes.

Time is UP for you and the rest of your team to face the music and be accountable!

At Paul Borg. I happen to have red this by co-incidence. I am a nationalist by nature but I am fed up with the momentum of NP arrogance which gathered over the many years in power same as happened when we left labor in power for many years too. Malta need a new start, a new approach, a xkupa gdid, workers are now being paid by the hour, and emigrants from EU countries taking the place of the Maltese because the business man do anything to pay less and make more profit. Worker rights all went down the drain. Everybody does what he likes and new NP comers learned to do likewise since no one is forced to resign be it power station or mepa issues. Die hearts are stupid probably because they stand to gain. So we will decide this election, the floating voters that recognize what is really going on which hurts really.

With all due respect as if the Americans in the USA or the Cardinals in the Eternal City are going to vote here in Malta. And no doubt that a visit to Ireland will also be chased given that Ireland presides the EU Presidency at the moment but not much to be achieved there either given the dismal economic situation this Country is in. GonziPN will also roll out the list of other countries that he would intend to visit over the coming days and not weeks since they seem already very paniced given the feedback the PN is getting in its polls. PL feet on the ground and be close to the field as much as possible
