Wied Ghomor
A T 13 June 2010 11:31
Swieqi's lifeless Wied Ghomor, right under the Halland Hotel, is continuously being dumping upon, be it wooden pallets, painter's loose chippings, chlorinated pool water, and so forth.

Moreover, most of the soil retaining valley rubble walls are being removed and utilised in the construction of hunter's hides. A walk along Triq il-Francizi could easily expose it all. People are asking how and why is it that the current Council seems not to care about this area?

Residents and others who ramble through the area are demanding that the local authorities devote some attention to what they describe as “this tiny carbon sink” and hopefully plant some very much needed semi-grown trees by way of rehabilitating this forlorn zone.
