The iphone is flushed with success. It has been voted a more important invention than the car or a flushing toilet. 4,000 people took part in a survey in the UK.

The wheel was chosen as the most important invention in history. The aeroplane was in second place and the light
bulb third. The iphone, which has only been in existence for three years, came eighth. The flushing loo was ninth and the car was at the bottom of the top ten.
