Over 200 eager participants braved the bad weather last Sunday to take part in the Fun Run/Walk organised by the Malta Olympic Committee (MOC) and sponsored by alli, the weight management product by GlaxoSmithKline, to celebrate International Women’s Day.

Runners and walkers of all ages, including men, participated in the 5km marathon which started and finished at the Dolmen Resort Hotel, Qawra where a health expo was held and sponsors offered free expert advice on various health issues.
MOC director Dr Lucienne Attard said: “We are very pleased with this year’s attendance. We intend to make this a regular event and aim to expand it further to involve more people and encourage them to lead a more active lifestyle.”
