We are discriminated against on a daily basis- Migrants

Migrants who reside in Malta are insisting that they are being discriminated against on a daily basis on many levels. Such discrimination makes the lives of the migrants a very difficult one. These people meet with racism on a daily basis.
This is especially the case in the field of employment.
In order to face this problem collectively, the immigrants have set up an association which will provide a voice for them in order to be treated fairly within society.
The immigrants also have strong complaints about the situation in the open centres as well as the detention centres. In an attempt to be proactive, the immigrants’ association has sent a letter to the Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs Carm Mifsud Bonnici where it a number of proposals were made in order to reduce the extent of these problems.
The ‘Migrants’ Network for Equality’ has the backing of twelve NGOs and a number of academics from the University of Malta.

The illegal immigrants should stop being arrogant and imposing themselves upon us and go back to their own countries. If they had the least amount of decency they would get out of Maltese because they would know that they are unwanted and unwelcome by the vast majority of Maltese citizens. But as everyone knows, their arrogance is only matched by Dr Gonzi and his PN Government.

Who is paying to "reduce the extent of these problems"? Do these people realise that there is hardly enough money to go round for Maltese Citizens, let alone find money for illegal and irregular immigrants.

This network fails to state that failed asylum seekers are just that-FAILED ASYLUM SEEKERS who have lost their case including their appeals and they should go back to where they came from. They are the real burden on the system, taking welfare, jobs and resources they do not deserve. They are also claiming rights and freedoms that they are not entitled to in the first place.
It strikes me why this network has come up with the phrase we are not against the maltese... as featured in another news portal...why ? because you have never condemned the constant flouting of the law and the tensions that some of you have created at marsa and birzebbuga- i know exactly what i am saying, and so do the constant police reports about africans urinating in public (especially at St. Thomas Bridge even using the palm tree containers as urinals, performing obscene acts in front of young girls, drunken fights between yourselves and the native population, shopflifting, on top of entering Malta illegally. Why don't you say that only now has the situation improved after constant complaints from a vigilant and irritated resident population which led to the police force being augmented. Whjy don't you say these things and at least have the decency to apologise Migrants Network?!?! Let me tell you that i myself was going to have a real showdown with an arrogant illegal immigrant who was urinating in broad daylight here, after he shrugged off me telling him off for what he was doing.
I can understand that the situation at the open centres is not so good but what about the constant wrecking of these premises by these ILLEGAL immigrants. Please do realise why so many maltese are taking it all out against you. people have had enough of hearing just one side of the story. On my part, I condemn any acts against bona fide asylum seekers and legal immigrants, especially if this is because of skin colour. Before you call me racist, let me tell you that i am anti illegal immigrant and anti asylum cheats just as i am anti racist and i have also employed an Eritrean with a building contractor who had all the right papers and was given equal pay as his counterparts. Once this network starts working to repatriate those who do not have any rights here, they will perhaps start lending their credibility and then and only then can those with some form of protection make their stand. I only agree with a few points they raised. the rest is all another attempt to legitimise what is illegitmate.

I wonder if it is you or us who are being descriminated. Most of you are here illegally and you have the cheek to say such things! TYou are taking our jobs, and depleating our social services. In a short matter of time you will be taking over our country because of these NGOs.

Thats what we needed now an association from the migrants. why dont they leave and leave us all not getting our few jobs we got.
