Love Parade victims to be honoured at memorial service

A memorial service is to be held one week after the Love Parade dance festival ended in tragedy in the western German city of Duisburg, bbc reports.
Flags across germany are currently flying at half-mast after the incident which left around twenty people dead, and 500 injured. The incident occured in a tunnel leading to the festival site at a former freight railway station. The dead include people between the ages of 18 to 38, fourteen of which were German while others hailed from Spain, China, Australia, the Netherlands, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Italy.
The service will be held at Salvator Church in Duisburg at around 1100 local time. Church bells will start to ring at around 1045HRS, while neighbouring cities will also riing their church bells at the same time.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel will be attending the service.
