A 33-year-old woman was acquitted from charges of aggravated theft from a scrap yard in Luqa.

The courts acquitted the woman because CCTV footage, the only evidence produced by the prosecution was not clear and thus could not confirm that it was the accused that had committed the crime.

Lawyers Vincent Micallef and Andy Ellul stood for the accused.
