Shocking pictures of Angelina Jolie in S&M poses have emerged and were published on an American magazine.

Topless save for crosses of black tape across her breasts, she is seen posing provocatively with what looks like a leash around her neck.

In a separate frame, she has black tape strapped across her mouth and in yet another she wears a blindfold.

A black and white shot taken from behind shows her on a bed wearing just a G-string and cowboy hat.

The risqué pictures, said to be from 1999, were taken from an explosive unauthorised biography by Andrew Morton that is due for release next month.

The controversial images are a far cry by the family-oriented Jolie of nowadays. Working with the UN on humanitarian issues, Jolie has never hidden her more daring past, and in past interviews said she "did a little experimenting".
