Hollywood has churned out scores of police thrillers with stories about corrupt cops or police behaving badly. Director Antoine Fuqua entered this field in 2001 with Training Day, the film that gave Denzel Washington who played a rogue detective his second Best Leading Actor Academy Award and earned his co-star Ethan Hawke a nomination for the same award. Brooklyn’s Finest is Mr Fuqua’s second journey through the murky world of crime and deals with the impact this world has on the lives of three cops involved in the war against crime.
Set in the tough Brownsville area of Brooklyn, the film tells the story of Edward “Eddie” Duggan (Richard Gere) a veteran with a twenty-two year career behind him who is one week away from retirement. He is now assigned to shepherd new young officers in their first paces in keeping the law. Don Cheadle plays Clarence “Tango” Butler, an undercover narcotics agent who has infiltrated the drug scene. He has had enough of this assignment and wants to spend the last years of his career with a promotion to a desk job.
Ethan Hawke, in his second film with Antoine Fuqua, plays a completely different role from that of a young inexperienced cop, shocked and awed by Denzel Washington’s brutality and corruption in Training Day. Here he is Salvatore (Sal) Procida, with a wife and seven kids to feed and in desperate need of a bigger healthier place for his family; desperate conditions that lead him to break every single rule and law that he had sworn to protect.
Antoine Faqua integrates the stories of three officers in scenes of drug busts, betrayals and set ups one of which involves Caz Phillips (Wesley Snipes), a drug dealer just out jail and close friend of Clarence. The director whose work was greatly enhanced by the excellent performances from the four leading actors, gives the often stereotyped police characters a stronger and more realistic dimension set against an environment of violence and death.
The Twilight saga: Eclipse

Cast:
Kirsten Stewart : Bella Swan
Robert Pattinson : Edward Cullen
Taylor Lautner : Jacob Blake
Billy Burke : Charlie Swan
Directed by David Slade
Running time: 124 minutes
In this third episode of “The Twilight Saga” Bella Swan’s (Kirsten Stewart) dilemma has taken a more serious turn. She is still caught in a love triangle, equally attracted to both Edward Cullen (Robert Pattison), the undead vampire and Jacob Blake (Taylor Lautner), the shirtless, muscled werewolf with both contenders heating up their fight to win her heart. The adolescents’ sexual development is growing fast and Bella must work hard to control her own impulses and keep in check those of her two suitors.
While this romantic turbulence is going on, a crime wave is hitting their town. Murders and abductions jolt Edward and his vampire clan into action when they find out that the Red Haired Victoria is behind it all, leading an army of ‘newborns’ – new vampires more deadly and bloodthirsty than ‘old’ vampires. Because of his concern for Bella’s safety, Edward reluctantly accepts Jacob’s readiness to help in her protection
“Eclipse” has already cashed $291 million in ticket sales worldwide. This success has prompted the producers to announce hefty increases in paychecks of the young actors for the remaining two installments of the series.
According to NY Magazine, actors Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner will each get $25 million for the two "Breaking Dawn" films. In addition, they will also receive 7.5% of gross revenue, which could mean that each actor will end up with about $41 million.
The trio were paid $2 million for the first "Twilight" film, which grossed $396 million theatrically. Their salaries then went up to $12 million for "Twilight Saga: New Moon," which grossed $702 million
