The Department of Information is considering commissioning a new official photo of President George Abela following public's negative reaction to the first photo.
The DOI initially published its first photo (below) on Tuesday but it soon drew negative reactions from the public.
"The Department is now reconsidering this choice and is actively exploring other possibilities," the DOI said in a statement issued on Saturday 11 April.
Distribution of the photo in Government departments was originally meant to start on Monday but that has been cancelled while the department considers a second photo-shoot.
It added that the distribution date would be announced in due course.
