Wednesday, 29 Jan 2014, 09:00

Carnival 2014 will be introduced at a press conference on Wednesday by Parliamentary Secretary for Culture Jose Herrera.

The press conference will look at what’s new at this year’s Carnival, the programme, and everything to do with this national festival

Malta Council for Culture and the Arts Chairman Albert Marshall, Carnival director Jason Busuttil and Valletta mayor Alexiei Dingli will also address the media.

To be held between 28 February-4 March, this year’s Carnival promises to bring a number of novelties, including its return to St George’s Square after 40 years, the re-introduction of satire, the return of the qarÄ‹illa and the first ever presentation of the Notting Hill Carnival in Malta
