49% average turnout at 2pm - higher than 2008

The Electoral Commission has announced that the approximate average turnout at 2pm for the general elections is 49%. This is 4% higher than the last general election in 2008.

The final turnout in the 2008 general election was 93%.

The approximate average turnout for the local council elections at 2pm is 41%. This is 6% higher than the same elections in 2008.
