€157m for a power station that does not work

GonziPN failed in the field of energy and has already paid € 157 million of your money to the BWSC power station that does not work. This is the theme of a billboard that was launched by the Labour Party in the past hours.

The case of the BWSC power station is a serious case of failure in the energy policy. The Labour Party has been warning for years that the BWSC power station investment is wrong because it uses experimental technology and works with most polluting oil.

Maltese and Gozitan families and businesses in Malta and Gozo now have to pay for GonziPN's mistakes.

BETTER FUTURE

They were afraid that new management would have examined better the plant, contract and circumstances. They would have stopped any remaining payments, with the result that monies due to the favoured contractor would stall and the flow to all "charities" would dry. Avarice galore.

Jiena ghadni ma nistax nifhem kif thallsu dawk il-flus kollha u suppost it-Taking Over Certificate ghadu ma harigx. €157m minn kuntratt ta'€165m ifisser li thallsu 95% tal-valur tal-kuntratt. Fil-kuntratti kollha li rajt f'hajti qabel ma joħroġ it-TOC ikun hemm miżmumin bejn 10 u 15% tal-valur tal-kuntratt, allura kif fuq dan il-kuntratt thallsu dawk il-flus kollha diġa. Jidher li kien hemm xi hadd hawn Malta li kien mghaggel biex jiehu l-kummissjoni allura l-flus thallsu qabel. Fuq din ma jiftax ħalqu l-bravu ministru Gatt, li taħtu sar dan il-kuntratt, u jippretendija li jifhem u kapaċi f'kollox, meta r-riżultati taħtu huma kollha disastri.
