Transport Malta notifies that works will be carried out along parts of Triq San Ġwann, Valletta (stretch between Triq l-Ifran and Triq id-Dejqa), on Friday 26th October 2012. The road will be closed to vehicular traffic. Investigative works will be carried out to determine why a good number of hardstone slabs have subsided. Reinstatement works will be carried out, thereafter.
Works are expected to be completed within 2 weeks subject to weather and other site conditions that may be encountered during the excavation.
Vehicular traffic from Triq San Mark towards Hastings area will be diverted through Triq l-Ifran onto Triq Melita.
Vehicular traffic towards Triq id-Dejqa (behind law courts) will be diverted through Triq l-Ifran onto Triq Melita onto Triq id-Dejqa.
Motorists are advised to proceed with caution. Any inconvenience is regretted.
