The 28th edition of the National Book Fair will be held between the 7th and 11th November at the Mediterranean Conference Centre Valletta. Organised by the National Book Fair and Malta Libraries, the fair attracts an audience of 16, 000 patrons of all ages. The fair is a showcase of all types of books in various languages, together with educational and cultural activities.

These are the opening hours for the fair:

Wednesday 7 th November   9am-1.30pm
                                                    5pm -9pm
Thursday 8th November        9am-1.30pm
                                                    5pm -9pm
Friday 9th November              9am-1.30pm
                                                    5pm -10pm
Saturday 10 th November      9am-1.30pm
                                                    4pm -10pm
Sunday 11th November         10-8pm

Amongst the activities this year there are book launches of new publications about former Prime Minister Dom Mintoff and Manwel Dimech, creative writing activities for children, an exhibition of Maltese book illustrators, a forum about Agius de Soldanis, and an activity together with the Malta Film Commission featuring a discussion and followed by a screening of Tell England, a 1931 film shot partially in Malta and being shown for the first time.
