To celebrate James Bond's fiftieth anniversary and in anticipation of the forthcoming SkyFall in local cinemas, Euro Media Forum, Science is Culture in conjunction with Eden Cinemas are organising The 50th anniversary James Bond exhibition launching on Monday 22nd October at 7p.m during The Science of James Bond event till Thursday 25th October at 7 p.m. at the Italian Cultural Institute, St George’s Square, Valletta opposite The Palace (Malta’s House of Representatives) and next door to the Attorney General’s Office. Entrance is free.

From Ian Fleming’s first image of a mysterious spy sporting a shimmering black tuxedo, in his first novel Casino Royale (1953) to that timeless 007 insignia in 1962’s Dr No, to the return of the classic Aston Martin DB5 in this year’s SkyFall, James Bond’s images have become an entrenched part of popular culture and he is arguably the most famous fictional character of the modern era.

Some of the most memorable images and items from the James Bond films will be on display as a half century of secret agent 007 is celebrated in a new exhibition at the Italian cultural institute. Many exhibits that will be on display come from famous moments in the films and are synonymous with the series. The 50th anniversary James Bond exhibition will take the audience on a fascinating journey through images of Bond’s most fantastic missions that have stood the test of time.
