England face Poland tonight in their Group H World Cup qualifier with boss Roy Hodgson opting for experience. Steven Gerrard returns as captain after suspension and Ashley Cole and Jermain Defoe also expected to start as England aim to maintain their top spot in the group.

Italy take on Denmark in Milan with boss Prandelli urging his players not to under-estimate the Danes. Italy have not been at their best so far in these qualifiers, a win tonight would put them in a commanding position in Group B.

Madrid is the venue for Spain’s Group I clash with France. Both sides are level on points but the defending world chamions will want to make home advantage count. The last time they met was at Euro 2012 when Spain won 2-0. It could be a similar result tonight.

Germany top Group C ahead of their match against second placed Sweden with Germany unbeaten in their last five matches.

The Republic of Ireland must win tonight against the Faroe Islands to keep alive their hopes of reaching the next stage of the competition. Ireland are struggling with injuries and manager Giovanni Trapattoni could find his job on the line if they do not get a result tonight.

Just hours after winning the Korean Grand Prix, Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettal is being widely tipped to join Ferrari in 2014.  Ferrari sources say a deal is already in place but Red Bull team boss Christian Horner insists the double world champion will not be leaving.
