Hypocrisy at its best

The PN is suddenly picturing the raising of minimum wage to be very important. Well, it is important, however, why not look at what should really be done in reality.

At this period in time, a minimum wage freeze would only be beneficial to just a small fraction of the population. This is because only some of the lowest working class will be affected.

PN are currently picturing that the increase in minimum wage is essential for economic growth. However that might be misleading. The increase in minimum wage could cause more problems rather than solutions for the society. Let's say that minimum wage is increased. Employers and Companies are already carrying a heavy burden with their everyday expenses, and some of them are finding it very hard to cope. What will employers do to survive and lessen their expenses? Simple, they will either sack some of their workers or offer them illegal jobs, which will result in more unemployment and causing the country less revenue for social security. If employers decide not to sack workers, they would probably increase the price of their product in order to stay profitable. Who will suffer from this? Everyone, except any companies going really well and affording to increase their workers' minimum wage.

However, if one tackles expenses directly, particularly electricity and water bills, which pose a major expense on both families and enterprises, things could be better. Employers and companies would be less stressed, and therefore their workers would be more secure. Families of lower classes would also be helped as their pay would serve more. This is a solution with no risk of unemployment and could be the way to economic growth. After this is implemented, minimum wage would be altered once again. This would be brilliant because the whole cycle would benefit from it.

And don't forget about this. Hypocrisy at it's best.
