Alison Vella wins gold in UK air-rifle competition

Alison Vella, one of the top Maltese Air-Rifle shooters today won a Gold Medal for placing first in the finals of the Eley-NSRA Shooting Competition. This was organized by the National Smallbore Rifle Association of the UK at the Lord Roberts Centre in Bisley England.

In stage 2 of the competition, Alison Vella was in second position with a 366/400 points which was an excellent score to earn her the first gold medal as well as a place in the finals. A total of 48 male and female  competitors took part in Class C Air-Rifle category where in the finals today Alison obtained an excellent score of 562/600 to win this event in great style. This year's edition was the first time that Maltese Target Shooters participated in this highly popular postal competition where shooters from all over Great Britain take part.

At the end of the competition, representatives from Eley Ltd and the NSRA presented the trophies to the first placed 5 winners.
