Italian news agency Ansamed is reporting that Italian Coast Guards on Saturday night rescued 155 migrants (including 34 women and two children) adrift in a fishing boat around 10 meters long, 56 miles south of Lampedusa (Agrigento) in Maltese waters.

The migrants were transferred to Lampedusa aboard three Italian Coast Guard patrol boats. The boat sunk shortly after the migrants were taken aboard the patrols.
