In his latest blog entry, rebel PM MP Franco Debono announced he will vote with the Partit Laburista on the Labour motion against the privatisation of car parks. The initiative, taken by Transport Malta, falls under Minister Austin Gatt's portfolio, one of the main targets of Franco Debono's criticism.
"I have already made it clear I will not support a government with Austin ‘ghamilna pipi’ Gatt in cabinet, and this was some months ago. Hence I will not support any of his decisions.
"So, after all these warnings and giving them all these chances, I will very clearly be voting against Austin gatt in the Car Parks motion, and not least because these issues should not be tackled in the middle of an election campaign. Other countries have laws prohibiting these practices.
"Coalition government led by Lawrence Gonzi wil not muster a majority in parliament on this vote. Hon Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando also resigned from the PN citing Austin gatt’s arrogance as one of the main reasons. PN ended up as coalition government because of Austin Gatt, who is also intimately linked with the 1996 PN electoral defeat," Dr Debono said in his blog on Saturday morning.
On Friday PL presented a motion to be discussed in Parliament against the proposed privatisation of several car parks in the country.

Yet no one has yet convienced me that Dr Debono intention is not to bring down the goverment, but to expose the filth of evry individual minister and the clique of GonziPN regim. Very puzzling. I still question as to why Franco Debono ABSTAINED when he had the chance to oust Austin Gatt out of Government. Something does not add up. How about it Franco Debono?
