Tonio Fenech has proved the hypocrisy of the PN when he launched the new billboard about the lie that has been concocted on Joseph Muscat and the Labour party.
The billboard which publicizes a trumped up charge that the PL in government will ‘freeze’ the minimum wage is typical of GonziPN’s malicious election campaigning. There is clear evidence that the Leader of the Labour Party did not make such a statement. If there were a grain of honour on the PN side they would withdraw that billboard and apologise for playing dirty.
GonziPN’s representatives Tonio Fenech and Beppe Fenech Adami launched this billboard. Beppe Fenech Adami has a family history of lying, this was proved in court, when his father was convicted and fined for lying on the final TV debate before the election. The proof of Tonio Fenech’s lies is different, but it is even more pronounced. In March 2010, Tonio Fenech as Minister for Finance stated that if he were to approve an increase in the minimum wage, this would create a problem and it would jeopardize jobs, since employers would not be able to absorb such an increase. He added that allowing an increase in the minimum wage is a trap that one could easily fall into. Gonzi was also present at that particular meeting.
Unlike GonziPN’s vicious claim there is irrefutable evidence of this, there is a recording which could be easily accessed by following this link: http://youtu.be/PNiHG4XIQgw. This is not a question of ‘you too’ said it; it is evidence that a GonziPN Minister said it and the PL Leader did not. It just proves that GonziPN will resort to anything to try and remain anchored to the seat of power.
Accusing others for your own ‘crime’ is criminal. Making a fallacious argument is a (dishonorable) accepted practice in political debate, unless one gets caught. Tonio Fenech got caught in a lie, he should not wait for any motion or request to have him removed from office, and he should have the dignity to accept the error of his ways and leave, as soon as possible.
