On Wednesday morning a post-mortem will be carried out on the body of a 40-year-old woman from Morocco, married to a Maltese man, who was found dead in a house in Triq iċ- Ċagħaq, Mġarr, Malta.

The police were called on Tuesday evening to the house in Mgarr and found the mother-of-two dead in a pool of blood. She suffered from a head wound and investigations as to whether she injured herself accidentally or she was murdered are ongoing. Post-mortem results revealed that the woman was expecting a baby.

The police have interrogated her husband amongst other people in connection with the case.
