Tarxien Rainbows claimed their first win of the season beating Balzan 2-1 to keep Balzan rooted  to the bottom of the table.

Mosta picked up their second win with a 4-1 victory against Hamrun Spartans to move up to 4th in the premiership.

Everton missed the chance to climb up to third in the English premiership after being held to a 2-2 draw by Newcastle at Goodison Park.

Everton easily controlled the first half and deserved their 1-0 lead and when they made it 2-0 with minutes only remaining, the points looked to be theirs.

A frantic spell however saw Newcastle grab two late goals to salvage a point and leave the Goodison supporters wondering what happened.

There is plenty of Champions League action tonight with Arsenal away to Montpellier.

A C Milan, still reeling after their shock defeat to Atalanta, take on Anderlect while Borussia Dortmund are home to Dutch side Ajax.

The big game tonight though is between Real Madrid and defending premier champions Manchester City.

Both sides have struggled in the league games, City were held to a draw by Stoke at the weekend while Real suffered a shock defeat at Sevilla.

Palermo have sacked their coach Giuseppe Sannio after fust four months in charge.

He will be replaced by former Inter boss Gian Piero Gaspasini.
