The Libyan-Maltese Chamber of Commerce said in a statement it notes with regret the recent criminal acts which happened in Benghazi when the US Mission was attacked and The Ambassador of the United States of America Christopher Stevens and other personnel lost their lives.

The Libyan-Maltese Chamber of Commerce denounces such criminal acts of violence which are only meant to try and harm the new Democratic process which Libya has now embarking upon. Such acts are also meant to harm the economic relations between our two friendly countries due to the global effects which such acts will unbouthedly have.

The Libyan-Maltese Chamber of Commerce salutes the new Prime Minister of Libya  Mistafa Abushur and extends greeting to him and his future Cabinet of Ministers with the sincere hope that such political developments in Libya will augur well to future prosperity of the Libyan people and to the increase of further economic relations between Malta and Libya.
