Arriva said it will be operating a special shuttle service for this year’s Rockestra, which will be held at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali on Saturday 15th September. A shuttle service to the event will be available from the following locations:

Bugibba – Mosta – Attard – Ta’ Qali
St’  Julians – Sliema – Msida – B’Kara – Balzan – Ta’Qali
Valletta to Ta’Qali
Zabbar – Fgura – Paola – Marsa P&R – Qormi – Ta’ Qali
Rabat interchange to Ta’Qali via the temporarily Park & Ride (TRIQ L-INFETTI)

These shuttles will operate at 7pm from the localities mentioned above and then back from the concert at around 10.30pm. Moreover, after the event shuttles will take commuters back to these locations, including St.Julian’s, from where connections to Arriva’s Night Buses will be available to localities round the island.

Rockestra is one of Malta’s most popular events. The rock concert, given by the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, is organised to raise funds for the needy, through the Malta Community Chest Fund and will include works by groups such as Pink Floyd, Scorpions, Aerosmith, Zucchero, Procol Harum, Adele, Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Prince, Led Zeppelin and Santana.

Arriva’s shuttle services towards the concert can be boarded free, with a valid bus ticket, whereas the return journey (shuttle plus Night Service) will be available at €2.50. Those who do not have a valid bus ticket, acquire a return-ticket before boarding the shuttle towards the concert, for the price of €2.50.
