Scotland’s Andy Murray is through to the semi-finals of the US Open after staging a remarkable come-back against Croatia’s Marin Cilic.

Murray was a set down and trailing 5-1 in the second before he turned the match around to win in four sets.

He’ll now meet Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic who knocked out world number 1 Roger Federer.

Ahead of this weekends Italian Formula 1 Grand Prix at Monza there are rumours that Lewis Hamilton could leave Mclaren at the end of the season to join Mercedes.

The former world champion is not having a good season so far and pit-lane gossip suggests that he could replace Michael Schumacher who is believed to be quitting Mercedes at the end of this year.

McLaren say they do not comment on speculation.
