Kenneth Gafa' charged with the murder of his former girlfriend was granted bail on his ninth request, on a deposit of €15,000 and personal guarantee of €25,000.

Magistrate Anthony Vella presided the case.

Christina Sammut, the 40 year old saleswoman and a mother of one daughter, was shot in the neck two times at close range in Zebbiegh, limits of Mgarr, by her former boyfriend, 38-year-old horse jockey, Kenneth Gafa'.Two spent shotgun cartridges were found on the ground.

Gafa' has been in custody since December 2010.
