A 34 year old father of three from Zurrieq has been given a nine months’ prison sentence suspended for two years after he pleaded guilty to having injured slightly his wife in her face last Tuesday at 10.00am.
The man was charged with threatening his wife and holding her against her will during an argument at their house in Zurrieq.
With tears in his eyes he expressed his sorrow for what he did and said that his wife has forgiven him and they have resolved their differences.
The wife was called to testify behind closed doors.
