Summer ends Friday with Poppea, a turbulent weather front causing storms and heavy rains, forecasters said Wednesday. After Lucifer's inexorable heat, humidity and sirocco winds, many will be more than happy to embrace the colder temperatures.

Poppea is expected to remain around the Mediterranean until the end of week when it will cause temperatures to plummet up to 15 degrees.

According to 3bmeteo.com Poppea forms the first Mediterranean cyclone of the autumn season. Usually this type of weather front occurs during the month of September.

This doesn't mean that summer is over. It is forecasted that from mid next week it will gradually shift to the sunniest time.
