As Dutch media reported possible hijack of passenger plane at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport, the suspected plane, Veuling VY 8366 from Malaga with 180 passengers on board landed safely as pilot simply lost radio contact arousing suspision and alarm.

Two F-16's took off from airbase Volkel and flew circles around province Zeeland.

The plane with 180 passengers on board was surrounded by security forces following suspicions a hijacker was onboard.

Two F-16 fighter jets went supersonic in their efforts to intercept the airbus, which was bound for Amsterdam's Schiphol airport from Malaga.

But when the plane finally landed, security forces discovered that there was no hijacking, and the pilot had simply lost radio contact, arousing suspicion, reports said.
