Fr Alexander’s biased view

Fr Alexander Lucie Smith's blog post on Dom Mintoff:

His blog on the "catholicherald" site.
Here's a link for you:

http://www.catholicherald.co.uk/commentandblogs/2012/08/22/dom-mintoff-a-dominant-figure-in-malta-for-30-years-did-great-harm-to-his-country/

that’s interesting and very accurate. He described Mintoff as being as catastrophic as Adolf Hitler.

Of course, he forgot to mention the interdict, and all that misery the church has put onto Labour at that time. He forgot about the ringing bells during the meetings. He incidentally forgot the fact that they used to bury Labour supporters in the dump. Although Labour supporters were still Catholics, they were labeled as "Mxajtnin" (possessed by the devil) by the church. Seems like Fr Alexander doesn't know anything about that eh?

How about the introduction of civil rights and social services?

Pensions, Children's allowance, Free healthcare, free education etc. No need to mention them all.

Who built up the Maltese economy from scratch?

Being such a harmful man, that's why he got an enormous crowd at his cortege. That must be the response when being so destructive and harmful.

Fr Alexander seems to be afraid of the Babaw (Bogeyman) too. Pathetic.

Mr Cutajar, I have read your article above, and must say that although I have great admiration towards Dom Mintoff's prevailing strength, grand charisma, and positive incentives to help the country on its feet, I cannot understand why one needs to keep throwing mud at each other, unless this article is meant for people who would rather see that. Obviously some of the persons of the church in Malta made mistakes, and so did Mintoff (in fact till some time ago MLP had kind of rejected him - which in my opinion was a kind of a real death for Mintoff), but two wrongs do not make a right. All the people in their right frame of mind are aware that Dom Mintoff, had his better and worse points. But now at the time of his death, one tends to try to forgive and move on. May he rest peace.

Why give importance to such people.Only three people spoke
negative about this giant Dom Mintoff and they all have the same syndrome. They are Mrs.Daphne
Caruana Galizia, Mr. Ian Cilia and now the reverend Fr.Alexander
Lucie Smith.

Biex Fr Alexander jkun jaf min kien katastrofiku ghal Malta fil-valuri nsara hux iz-zmien tat-tmexxija ta Mintoff jew it-tmexxija ta dawn iz-zmienijiet haga wahda ghandu jaghmel. Jaqbad l-istatistika ta kazi ta droga, serq, kazi ta stupru, qassisin pedofoli, zwiegijiet imfarrka, kemm nies qed jattendu l-knisja u affarijiet ohra li jaghmlu l-fibra socjali u imbaghad ikun jaf x'kien Mintoff. Dan Fr Alexander jidher li lanqas jaf li qed jghix.

It would have been better for this guy wearing a black granny night dress to have spoken of the dirt, pedophely and corruption within his church before trying to humiliate and disrespect Dom Mintof as well as the people Of Malta. This so called priest tried to picture Mintoff as the Devil's son whilst he is the devil himself in persona
