Over the last few years, Noah's Ark has rescued scores of dogs and cats. Of course, the ideal is to find new homes for them but, sadly, this is not always possible. All the dogs are fed adequately and given any veterinary care that is required. They are neutered, vaccinated and registered by microchip. However, there is a constant need for donations in order for Noah's Ark to continue in its mission.
Anyone who owns a pet knows how much care is invested. Besides shelter one has to provide for food as well. Noah's Ark Sanctuary is the only animal sanctuary in the northern part of Malta - in Cirkewwa - and after eight years taking care of the animals it is now in dire straits of funds.
Donations do not have to be of the financial kind, though. There is always a need for suitable bedding, for example, and such things as food bowls and collars and leads that are no longer required. There are now many volunteers who help the only animal sanctuary in the north of the island, and with their support - and the help of the public - Noah's Ark will keep on sailing.
Monetary donations can be made by Paypal or Bank of Valletta Acc. No. 40013262921; from overseas: Swift Code/BIC: VALLMTMT.
The IBAN linked to Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary account reads MT16VALL220130000000400 13262921.
Donations can also be made via SMS on 5061 7351 (€2.33); 5061 8072 (€4.66) and on 5061 9202 (€11.65).

- Fri 10-Aug-2012, 23:53H Galea; what are you talking about? Where are they putting a burden on anyone to adopt a dog? All they are asking for is help with caring for the forsaken pets in their charge. If anyone did want to adopt a dog or cat, the caring staff at Noah's Ark Sanctuary would not let it go without proper safeguards and preparation.
That there are so many abandoned pets and a sanctuary struggling to care for them is to the shame of Malta. No doubt the mean, callous attitude you display is too common in Malta.

- Fri 10-Aug-2012, 14:35If the sanctuary closes down the chances are that the dogs will be put down, as no other sanctuary in Malta has the capacity to house all the 130 dogs!!! so let us please dig deep in our pockets and try and help keep them alive!

- Fri 10-Aug-2012, 14:11Noah's Ark and all other animal lovers kennels. I am pleased that your idea to save one animal from being ''passed away'', you are now risking that all your animals are in danger, due to luck of funds.
We cannot have every thing in life.About time to learn the lesson.About time also, not to put your burden on others to adopt a dog, if this family is forced to adopt if the home space is limited, and not ready to teach this dog on how to behave, with out disturbing the neighbours. It is your responsability that before donating any animal it should have been raised on how to live in a family surrounding.
