The Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority (MCCAA) through the Technical Regulations Division within the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority (MCCAA) would like to inform all economic operators and the general public that it has received a notification concerning Chicco Polly Highchair Products which have been found to pose a risk of laceration to young children due to protruding parts on the rear supporting frame.

Chicco, whilst providing a free kit making the fixtures inaccessible to children and hence eliminating the hazard, is inviting all parents using a Chicco highchair with this feature to contact Vivian Corporation by telephone  21 344 610 or by e mail: mariebellemuscat@viviancorp.com.

This press release is issued by the Technical Regulations Division within the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority.  Consumers who wish to report any unsafe product may do so directly on the Authority’s website http://mccaa.org.mt/loadfile/edec0589-219c-40d7-bb1c-f1d697799d8a.  For any further clarifications, one can always contact the Technical Regulations Division of the MCCAA on  2395 2000.
