Darmanin leads attack on Debono

Ex-PN treasurer Peter Darmanin likes social media. He is the mastermind of anti-Muscat Facebook Page and he also launched another one against his fellow Nationalist 'friend', MP Franco Debono.

MP Franco Debono has helped Peter Darmanin in the past when he faced difficult times and even stood up for him. (See www.francodebono.com). However according to PN sources, Darmanin is repaying Debono by running a Facebook group against him and wanting him to be chucked out of parliament and PN.

Mr Peter Darminin is neither an accountant nor an auditor and under the Bill on Political Parties and Party Financing, for which MP Debono has campaigned, drafted and  presented in parliament, Mr Darmanin would not be able to qualify for party treasures.

In his blog, MP Debono said that the Group of States against Corruption of the Council of Europe were and are still chasing Malta to have a law on party financing, since only Malta and Albania have no such law. 

Debono said that when Darmanin was given great exposure by Labour media when he embarrased the government when he criticised the ministers' honoraria, Debono justified his actions.

Nothwithstanding all, Darmanin still stabbed him in the back when the going went tough for Debono, Debono said.
