A week after finding her dead body at the bottom of St Julian’s Valley police have confirmed that it has been identified as being Polina Rahman. A post-mortem concluded that she died of a fractured skull after falling.

Police sources have told maltastar.com that the case of 17 year old Polina Rahman who was found dead last Wednesday at the bottom of St Julian’s valley with a fractured skull is not considered closed. Investigations are still going on to establish whether she died of falling accidentally or whether she was murdered.

The police are requesting the friend who was with her and was the last one to see her alive in the early hours of the morning at St George’s Bay to come back to Malta and help the police in their investigations. She was allowed to leave for Russia when the investigations of Polina Rahman’s death were not closed.

She told police that she was with Polina Rahman and then she did not see her anymore as she disappeared all of a sudden.
