Maltese EHF delegate, Alan Grima has just returned back from Austria after completing his last assignment in the Men’s Under 18 European Championship.  This season has proved to be a very busy but successful year for him. He has been nominated for a total of 25 international matches in different competitions including European cup matches, World Cup qualifiers, Challenge Trophy, Men U/20 Euro qualifiers and European Championship.

During the European Championship in Austria, Alan Grima was appointed as match supervisor in eleven matches, namely Belarus - Czech Republic (32-23); Slovenia – Denmark (25-29); Spain – Switzerland (34-32); Denmark – Serbia (31-25); Croatia – Switzerland (30-30); Switzerland – Finland (31-23); Sweden – Austria (33-24); Denmark – Spain (27-34); Austria – Croatia (23-22); France – Romania (30-39); Austria – Slovenia (24-30).

Germany was crowned European champions after winning a thrilling and unbelievable match in extra time 30-29 against Sweden.  Denmark beat Spain 37-32 to win bronze.  The tournament was played between Thursday 12 July and Sunday 22 July and was hosted in the cities of Hard and Bregenz.
